Bristol Soccer Club - COVID-19 Update

Soccer Families,

As I am sure many of you are wondering, our soccer season will be impacted by the COVID-19 virus. We are currently following the guidelines set forth by CJSA and US Youth soccer by suspending all soccer activities through April 15th. We will reevaluate the situation at that time, and again will heed the guidance set forth by the governing bodies. At this point, we are hopeful that we will be able to proceed with a spring season using a modified, potentially shortened, schedule.


What does this mean for you?

  • Registration - will continue to open as is. 

  • Payments - we would recommend not paying for programs until such time as we have a firm grasp on the schedule and how changes may impact your ability to participate in the spring season.

  • Scheduling - As stated above, this will largely depend on if/when the season starts, school schedules etc. All scenarios are being considered and discussed and as we know more, we will share that information

Bristol Soccer Club Fundraising

Bristol Soccer Club runs several fundraisers during the year. If you are interested in volunteering your time please contact us. These fundraisers help to keep the registration costs low.

Spring Fundraiser
Candy Sale - each family is required to sell 2 boxes of candy unless you elect to "buy out." The "buy out" costs $52 for both boxes.

Fall Fundraiser
Cheesecake Sale - Each family will receive information regarding the sale within the first few weeks of the season. Prizes will be given to each child that sells enough to qualify

BSC Courtney Hei-Ra Smith Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament
This is an annual tournament, scramble format, held during the month of June.

Local Area Merchant Fund Raisers
We will also be running fund raising events at local area merchants, similar to the Moe's Night that we held during the Spring 2014 season.

**Please make sure when registering that you complete all of the steps! There is a final step that is easy to miss on the new system. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your registration is not complete**

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Spring 2020 soccer season! We encourage you to take advantage of early registration to avoid late fees and to tell your friends to sign their children up as well.  


Changes to Recreation Soccer - We are pleased to announce that as a result of parent feedback, we have made some changes to the age bands for recreational soccer. We have gone back to two older recreation groups, so we will feature groups for ages 9-11 and 12-14

In addition, we are planning based on historical enrollment, to enter the 12-14 age teams in to the Farmington Valley Recreational league. This will mean that teams will be playing games at fields outside of Bristol, against recreational teams from other towns. Should we get enough local kids to form a competitive division here in Bristol, we will keep our teams/kids here.

If you have not already registered on our new website, you will have to create a new family account on the new site. Your old user id and password will not work.

Registration fees are as follows (Division Name - Birth Year[s] format)

Soccer Shots  (2013-2016)- $ 85

Micro  (2014-2015)- $ 85 *

Midget  (2012-2013)- $ 85 *

Recreational  (2009-2011; 2006-2008) - $ 90 *

Travel U09-U15  - $180 *. Requires tryouts 

** Recreation group registrations received after 3/27/2020 will be subject to a late fee of $20.00 

If you are registering for Travel Soccer, please register your child in the age appropriate program. If he/she needs to be moved to a different roster, we will do that in the background.  Travel tryouts were held in May 2019 for the 2019–2020 season.

Registrations received 3/27 and after will be added to a waitlist and only added to teams needing additional players.

Register Early! You may register now and postdate your check to 3/27/202 to take advantage of the early bird rates.  Mail your check now to the PO box listed below. It will not be cashed until 3/27/2020, and your child is guaranteed a place on a team.

We will do our best to accommodate special requests in the Micro and Midget Divisions, however we cannot guarantee that we can honor all of them.

For the older recreational group players will be randomly assigned to teams and we will not be honoring any requests for specific coaches.

We will be creating our teams based on the number of children registered at the end of the day on 9/1, and we will be building balanced teams to the best of our ability, to encourage competitive games.                        



We also have a mandatory Fundraiser this Spring.  All funds raised will help offset operational club expenses, which include field maintenance and equipment. **Fundraiser forms will be available for pickup at your division’s Meet & Greet with your coach**  Forms should be returned the weekend of MAy 2–3 to the Concession Stand.   

We also offer a buyout option of $35 per family. Those families not wishing to sell fundraiser items can choose the buyout option at the time of registration. Thank you to all for participating!  


*** All Coaches and Assistant Coaches should enter their Volunteer info into the Online Registration system ASAP to be considered for a Coaching position this season.  Please do not assume that we know that you are interested in continuing to Coach a team. You cannot be added to a team as a Coach or Assistant Coach without the Volunteer info in the system. Background checks must also be completed. Once both are complete, we are able to assign you to a team.  * Please note that this season, required by CJSA, each coach is required to participate in two on-line trainings available on your family profile.


We are ALWAYS looking for the support of our incredible families. We are currently looking for volunteers to help run our concession stand.  Additionally, we are in the process of forming a fundraising committee to help with ideas for the fall season!  Please contact us for more details!
